Lil Tjay allegedly got into a fight backstage at Hot 97 summer jam

The rap industry is no stranger to controversies and altercations, and Lil Tjay found himself caught in the middle of another incident. A video recently emerged online, capturing the Bronx rapper in the midst of a backstage scuffle at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York during Hot 97 Summer Jam. Tjay can be seen being held back by security while shouting at someone further down the hallway, his anger palpable and his frustrations evident. Although the identity of the person he was directing his anger towards remains unknown, this incident has once again thrust Lil Tjay into the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. 

A Pattern of Incidents: This is not the first time Lil Tjay has found himself entangled in a concert-related incident. Just last year, during a performance in Manchester, England, Tjay abruptly stopped the show after being hit by a water bottle thrown from the crowd. Frustrated and visibly upset, he challenged the perpetrator to step forward and face the consequences. While such incidents can be disruptive and potentially dangerous, they also shed light on the pressures and challenges that artists face while performing live. 

Unfortunately, Lil Tjay has also faced threats and violence closer to home. In June of last year, the young rapper was the victim of a targeted shooting during an attempted robbery in Edgewater, New Jersey. Sustaining multiple gunshot wounds, he was rushed to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery. Miraculously, he made a full recovery and resumed his music career, demonstrating resilience in the face of adversity.

 In the midst of these controversies and incidents, Lil Tjay continues to make strides in the music industry. Collaborations with fellow New Yorker Sleepy Hallow, such as their recent track "Pain Talk," showcase his talent and ability to create music that resonates with audiences. Despite the challenges he has faced, Lil Tjay remains committed to his craft and refuses to let setbacks define him.
